What are the advantages of leasing/renting a vehicle ?

Leasing a vehicle is most times much more cost effective than buying a new vehicle.

Can I get the vehicle the same day ?

Yes. As soon as the agreement has been finalized you can receive the vehicle same day. 

What is the minimum or maximum period of lease permitted ?

Generally, longer leases are desired however there is  flexibility in allowing shorter term leases. The longer the lease, the more cost effective is is for customers. 

What are your monthly rates ?

CI $550-$700 per month depending on vehicle. Lower rates apply for lease of 6 months or more. Click on the Pricing tab to see more details on pricing.

What are your weekly rates?

Short term leases are $175 CI per week

How are payments made ?

Payments are made by credit or debit card, bank draft, wire transfer or cash. Payment must be made paid prior to the customer receiving the car. If at the end of the lease the customer wishes to extend , all that is necessary is a simple extension of the agreement at the same costs and with no penalty. Payments are accepted in both USD and KYD. 

What is the minimum age and license requirement of a person to lease a vehicle?

25 years and older. Must have a valid license for 3 years.

Is there a security deposit requirement ?

Yes. Generally $200 deposit. This is waived in special circumstances. The deposit is refundable at the end of the term according to the conditions in the agreement.

Will I need to insure the vehicle myself ?

No. Insurance is already included into the monthly rental rate. AutoCay insures the vehicle and takes care of repairs in accordance with the contract agreement.

Do I have to pay all the money upfront for the vehicle being imported ?

No. There is a 40-50 percent down-payment requirement on most vehicles, prior to the order being made. Exact amount depends on the type and cost of the vehicle.

How long does it take to import the vehicle to the island ?

This will depend on where the vehicle is coming from. For Japanese imports this normally takes 6 weeks, but could be longer with shipping delays.

Do I get to see the photos and specifications of the vehicle before finalizing the agreement ?

Yes. All information about the vehicle from the supplier is given to the customer so they can make an informed decision about purchase.

We import a variety different make and model vehicles. See our inventory page for details. If you do not see the car you are looking for on the site, just let us know and we will find it.

Do you do trade-ins?

Yes. However, this is done on a limited basis. Contact us and we will make arrangements with you to check and make an assessment of your vehicle for trade-ins.

Can you help me to sell my car ?

Yes. Many persons do not have the time to sell a car and just needs someone to do this business for them. All that is needed is an agreement. No payments are necessary until the car is sold. We will advertise your car for you and endeavor to sell it as soon as possible.
